Infection Control and the Built Environment.

To ensure that an environment provides appropriate facilities that contribute to minimising risks related to healthcare associated infections, there is now a DOH requirement to ensure that Infection Control guidance is sought at both the planning stage and commissioning stage of all capital projects associated with the built environment.

We can provide guidance to ensure that capital projects comply with the NHS Estates 'infection control in the built environment' guidance, as well as other current requirements including Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs) and Health Building Notes (HBN). This area of expertise may be of particular relevance to the independent sector and PFI developments.
