3. Staff training:

Induction, post basic updates, ancillary and support staff

4. Infection Control Link Practitioner (ICLP) training:

One day preparation

2 full day's on-site training

One day practical follow-up

5. Development of local protocols and policies which can then be provided as either printed or electronic manuals.

6. Attendance at relevant committee meetings

Infection Control Committee meetings

7. Risk assessment and baseline audit of clinical services, e.g. environmental audit. On-going audit programmes can be provided as a part of an annual programme or as an ad hoc contract arrangement.

8. Telephone support for guidance on infection control issues including outbreak identification and management. The lines are open from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
